Family Camping Gear List

Family Camping

When going camping if you don’t plan accordingly you so you don’t forget any equipment or supplies. , you are planning on going to go on a camping trip it is important to have family camping gear list. This allows you to make sure you don’t leave the house without anything.

Important Tips

You should start by looking at your calendar to see when you can set up a weekend for trip. You will need to plan well in advance since campgrounds can fill up quick especially on holiday weekends. If at all possible try to leave during the week that way to avoid everyone else that are leaving at the end of the week.

  • Invite friends

Even though it’s fun going with just your family, it’s a good idea to invite your friends that have kids that way the kids don’t get bored. The kids can help entertain each other while the parents can have some grown-up time. We actually have been going with a few of the neighborhood family friends for a few years now. It is a pretty good time too.

  • Prep all the gear

You will want to check all your gear to make sure it is all in working order. For instance check that your tent has no holes and will assemble properly. You should check lanterns, stoves, lighters are all free of damage and in working order. If you choose to take air mattresses you should check those as well. I would do this a couple weeks ahead of your trip just in case you have to order something that way you have enough time for shipping.

  • Prep your food

You should sit down to figure out how many days you will be camping, that way you know how many meals you will need to prep IE: how many breakfasts, lunches and dinners. That way you can make a list of all the food that you will need for your trip. Don’t forget snacks.
